KPM Restoration Vermont
A local restoration team backed by KPM.
From our Poultney office, we help Vermont homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, sewage, and storm damage.
Who We Are
Restoration experience with a community mindset.
KPM Restoration Vermont is a full-service restoration company based in Poultney. Our team responds around the clock to stabilize damaged properties, document the loss, clean and dry affected areas, and guide the job toward repair.
As a local, family-owned company, we value clear communication and supporting the communities where our customers and team live.
Working here means knowing the building stock. Rutland County housing has a median build year of 1969, and 31.2% of it was built in 1939 or earlier, which is a different job from restoring new construction. Around 60% of homes heat with fuel oil, roughly one housing unit in six is a seasonal property that closes for the winter, and the county sits in a flood corridor that crested within a foot of its record in July 2023. Those facts shape most of what we get called for.

Training and certification
Vermont does not license restoration work. There is no state mold remediation licence and no mold-specific contractor credential, so in Vermont the standard a company works to is voluntary. Ours is the IICRC, the body that writes the restoration industry’s standards. Our technicians are IICRC certified, and our crews carry OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training for work in contaminated environments. Ask any restoration company you call what they hold. In a state that does not require an answer, the answer tells you something.
What we do not do
We do not perform mold inspections or testing. We assess visually as part of intake, and when independent testing or clearance is appropriate we refer you to a qualified third party rather than grading our own work. We also do not repair slate roofs. Poultney sits in the Slate Valley and genuine slate is a specialist trade, so on those jobs we handle the interior water damage and work alongside the roofer who handles the exterior source.
